The Wraith Homeworld (other names unknown) may be the planet where the Wraith first originated. This is where one of their main Hiveships with a Keeper Queen Sleeps, watching over all hibernating Wraith in the Galaxy. When this Keeper Queen dies, all Wraith begin to wake up. The Keeper

They are held prisoner aboard a hibernating Wraith ship, to be questioned and fed upon. During the Culling of Athos, Ford sees the DHD as the Wraith dial out and memorizes the symbols. Once back in Atlantis, McKay and Zelenka try out all 720 combinations until they get a lock on this planet.
John Sheppard leads a rescue team including Ford, Stackhouse and Markham to get their people and the captive Athosians back. In doing so, Sheppard kills the Keeper Queen, and inadvertently wakes up the Wraith from hibernation ("The Long Sleep"). Sumner dies here. Weeks later, AR-1 plus Stackhouse and Markham go here on their first mission to investigate, finding only a big hole in the ground where the Hive was, proving it was not an underground facility but a ship. Trees had overgrown it so it must have stood here for hundreds or thousands of years. AR-1 is ambushed by some Wraith left behind, and Sheppard is bitten by an Iratus bug. Ford finds him and tries to shoot the Iratus bug off with a 9mil, only to nearly kill him. The team escapes in Jumper One, only to get stuck in the Spacegate as the Jumper's damaged drive pods don't fully retract. |
