Ba'al
|
Ba'al is a power-hungry Goa'uld. Once he was an Underlord of Ra, Second Dynasty. After Ra's death he started working toward his own independence as a System Lord. The symbiote was born thousands of years ago, and his host, Aziru of Akharan, was possessed at least two thousand years ago and Aziru's Dæmon killed. In 2003, Ba'al captures and tortures Jack O'Neill after he became a Tok'ra host in order to heal from the Ancient Plague, but O'Neill escapes thanks to the SGC and the then-Ascended Dr Jackson.
Historyseeking antebellumIn 2006, Ba'al has gone into hiding on Earth, pretending to be a human named Eric Human from South Africa, claiming to be born Jan. 17 1969, a booming business mogul with many contacts including the U.S. Department of Defense. He's building an empire right under the SGC's nose. He has a ship on Earth, and at least one offworld base on PX6-209 (Milky Way) where he is cloning himself and his host.
In February 2006, he has control of the Trust - the rogue NID offshot - and several Goa'uld serve under him, including Athena. Another has taken Colonel Everett as host. Earlier, another Goa'uld serving Ba'al takes control of Colonel Caldwell with the aim of destroying Atlantis, but is stopped by Icarus in Ascended form taking control of John Sheppard. This gives Ba'al the idea to go to Pegasus and capture John Sheppard to use as a new host. He arranges the attack on Patrick Sheppard in New York and the disappearance of Agent White and Lance Corporal Snow to lure Sheppard to Earth. When Sheppard arrives in Rodney McKay's body, using Ancient Communication Stones, Ba'al risks having Athena and Everett kidnapping Sheppard and Director Sheppard directly from NCIS HQ. Ba'al then flies them toward the edge of the galaxy, forcing Sheppard to install the Zero Point Module he has acquired for this purpose. However, Sheppard sets the ZPM on overload and destroys the ship, and he and Director Sheppard escape in a Death Glider. Ba'al is shot by Director Sheppard and then killed by the explosion. His laboratory with clones on PX6-209 is destroyed by an offworld team led by Colonel Carter, leaving only the cloned host body and Goa'uld larva on Earth. One Ba'al - a clone - remains a prisoner on Earth, captured by NCIS working joint with the SGC (AR-4 and AR-9) as they find Snow and a dead body in an industrial site near Washington, D.C.. The plan is to extract the Goa'uld with the help of the Tok'ra and execute him. However, his host cannot be saved, since the Daemon was killed long ago. |
