Marcus Olsen

Olsen is a marine and an Atlantis veteran. He leads AR-2; other members of his team are Sanchez, Simmons, and Morrison. Whenever Dr David Parrish (botanist) is due off-world it is usually with AR-2 he goes, so much that he is also part of the team.

They report to the City, and return to the planet with Major Sheppard to check out the ruins. When Morrison slips on a rock and injures his ankle, Olsen and Simmons help him back to Atlantis, while leaving Sanchez to guard the Gate.
While Morrison heals, Ronon Dex AR-2 on a couple of missions offworld. The ex-Runner saves them from a Wraith ambush on M42-P97. In late 2005, AR-2 are contacted by an ally on Balkan when the Genii wish to meet with the Lanteans to make a peace treaty. Olsen passes on the word to Major Sheppard. seeking antebellumOnce on a mission to M01-302, AR-9 (Drew, Gamble, Snow, Herschel) is surrounded by Wraith. AR-2 are sent as backup from Atlantis, and they place C4 around the ridge of a hill to take the Wraith out.
At once point when working out in the gym, Olsen mentions to Ford that he is dating someone from the Botany department. Olsen and his team return to Earth for leave in early 2006. the law of gravityIn late 2006, Olsen is promoted from Lieutenant to Captain.
After the planet P70-800 is put on the List of Forbidden Planets (places that Dr Weir rules inaccessible by the Atlantis Expedition, forbidden to dial or travel to by ship) in 2007, Olsen theorizes that the reason is that the planet is full of giant man-eating plans; MacGrimmon accuses him of hanging out with Dr Parrish too much. In a future alternate timeline, Olsen survives to become Colonel and eventually by the 2030s he is the Commanding Officer of the Atlantis Expedition. |
