Historywe are the raven and the ghost | this is the uprisingHe and 57 marines come to aid the Lanteans during the Siege in September 2005. After it turns out that the City has two ZPMs to power its shields and that his forces may be obsolete, Everett and his people wait for the Daedalus to arrive with a third ZPM and hopefully also drones for the Weapons Platform Chair. However before the ship arrives Major Sheppard attempts to defend Atlantis on his own using the Chair and with the City's help manages to destroy several Hives using the last drones and three Jumpers. This causes a brain aneurysm which nearly kills him; when this happens, he survives with the help of the City and thanks to his Daemon finally Emerging.
Everett grows even more suspicious of the Major. When the Major's Bond with the City is revealed in mid-flight to New Lantea, Everett decides to take control of the City and its personnel. However when he rescinds Weir's power and places Sheppard in a cell he does not count on a rebellious Uprising. This leads to him being escorted to Earth along with his people to face uncertain repercussions for trying to shoot (and potentially kill) Sheppard's Daemon. During the final minutes of the Uprising his wolf-shaped Daemon injures Sheppard's Daemon, breaking their wing. After the Uprising, Everett and his men are returned to Earth. nou ani atlantusEverett and his marines are questioned by the SGC and others on Earth.
seeking antebellumAfter trial, Everett retires from the Marines altogether, much to Dr Weir's surprise. Unknowing to the SGC, Everett has by then been taken host by a Goa'uld serving Ba'al and Athena. Around the same time, Colonel Caldwell is also taken as a host in a plot to infiltrate Atlantis. The situation is resolved thanks to Icarus. Everett spends months as a host, which causes his Daemon to fade away, and he becomes a walking Ghost. Everett attacks Patrick Sheppard in New York, and is part of the kidnapping of John and Jenny Sheppard.
He is killed by a Jaffa staff blast aboard Ba'al's ship, and he asks John Sheppard to tell his family the truth, dying as himself. |
